The harsh environment chair incorporates a vinyl saddle seat and vinyl back with plastic cover over the control mechanism. To resist corrosion, special attention has been taken to cover or coat all exposed metal. All threaded knobs and caster stems are made from stainless steel. The cylinder used to adjust the height of the chair is enclosed with a plastic bellow which is attached to the controller on the underside of the seat pan. The air that is created as the chair is raised and lowered is directed to the floor. The harsh environment chair features a hard plastic nylon composite which will not corrode or be affected by disinfectants.  The saddle seat holds the operator in place and prevents any the operator from sliding forward. The design and construction of the chair enables the use in a pharmaceutical application where strong disinfectants are used to wipe down surfaces.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS: The harsh environment chairs will ship via UPS or FedEx. The order ships collect or prepay and add to the invoice. If shipping collect, add your freight account number in the "Comments Box" when checking out. Customer is responsible for the freight charge. Please inspect all shipments within (3) three business days of receiving. Freight claims can only be filed within that time. This harsh environment chair weighs about 45 lbs.
