Heat Resistant Gloves - Cleanroom - High Temperature - 14" Long - Up to 1000ºF - QR-59G
The high temperature gloves are ISO 5 Class 100 cleanroom compatible and offer ESD protection. The heat resistant gloves are designed for use with dry contact temperatures from -210°F to 1000°F (-134°C to 537°C) with no charring, ash or residue. The gloves cannot be used in moist, wet or steamy environments. Anti-static properties in the gloves are 10 9 ohms per square surface unit per DOD-HDBK-263 and MIL-B-8-1705. For use in handling of Class 2 devices (2000 to <4000, HBM) Applications where the gloves could be used include diffusion furnaces, quartz wafer boats, liquid gas flask handling (ultra cold), hot/dry glassware handling and metal fabrication. Available in universal size large and 14" long. Gloves are packaged 1 pair/bag.
The outer layer of the high temperature heat resistant cleanroom glove is made from Twaron which is a para-aramid. It is a strong synthetic fiber developed in the early 1970's by a Dutch company AKZO Industrial Fibers. The fiber was developed just after DuPont ™ Kevlar ®. The fibers are produced by spinning the dissolved polymer into a solid from a liquid chemical blend. The solvent is 100% anhydrous (water free) sulfuric acid. A powder form of sulfuric acid is mixed with the powder form of the polymer which is then heated.
