DI Water Spray Guns ~ Deionized Water Spray Guns
At Cleanroom World we carry a large selection of DI water spray guns, perfect for use in cleanrooms, labs, manufacturing facilities and other types of sterile environments.
With long life spans, little dead space for bacteria to grow, and PTFE or Teflon materials that resist corrosion, it’s no wonder DI water spray guns are used in the semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, pharmaceutical, and other manufacturing industries that demand the best.
The “DI” stands for deionized, and you need to use the DI water spray guns with deionized water. Because they dispense deionized water, the DI water spray guns are ideal for high-purity applications.
The recirculating DI water spray guns constantly have a small amount of water flowing through the hose and spray gun, which eliminates stagnant water and helps prevent growth of bacteria.
The high quality Teflon material and PTFE tubing in the DI water spray guns are designed to resist corrosion in harsh chemical environments, even those in which hydrofluoric acid is present.
Our DI water spray guns come in a variety of sizes and configurations, including:
•DI water spray guns with hose assemblies
•DI water spray guns without hoses (spray gun only)
•DI water spray guns with 1/4 inch fittings
•DI water spray guns with 3/8 inch fittings
•DI water spray guns with 1/2 inch fittings
•DI water spray guns with PTFE tubing and/or Teflon material
•DI recirculating water spray guns
The DI water spray guns also come with different types of nozzles, so pay close attention to that if you have a preference.
All of our DI water spray guns can be purchased individually or with your choice of hoses and fittings.
In addition to DI water spray guns, we also have a line of nitrogen spray guns. Check out our complete selection of nitrogen spray guns for cleanrooms, labs, and manufacturing facilities.

More Info About DI Water Spray Guns In Cleanrooms
DI water spray guns are commonly used in cleanrooms and other sterile environments to rinse and clean surfaces, tools, and components, in order to ensure that they’re free of contaminants and particles. The DI spray guns provide ultra-pure water for precision cleaning, with no residue left behind after evaporation. The guns are made from high-grade plastics that resist corrosion and contamination.
Uses And Applications For DI Water Spray Guns
Common uses and applications for DI water spray guns include:
•cleanrooms
•labs and research facilities
•electronics manufacturing facilities
•pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities
•biotech manufacturing facilities
•optics and lens manufacturing facilities
•medical device manufacturing facilities
•automotive manufacturing facilities
•aerospace manufacturing facilities
•food and beverage facilities
How Do DI Water Spray Guns Work
DI (deionized) water spray guns are designed to delivery highly purified water in a controlled and precise way, in order to clean sensitive parts and surfaces, without introducing contaminants. The DI water spray gun is connected to a source of deionized water. This is water that’s had most of its minerals removed – such as sodium, calcium, iron and copper – through the deionization process. The deionized process makes the water that comes out of the DI water spray gun extremely pure, with low conductivity and no dissolved solids.
Pressure Regulation In DI Water Spray Guns
The water in a DI water spray gun is typically pressurized before it reaches the gun. Valves or pressure regulators are generally used to regulate the pressure, which ensures that the water that comes out of the DI water spray gun is delivered at an appropriate force that can properly clean, without damaging delicate surfaces.
Spray Nozzles On DI Water Spray Guns
DI spray guns have specially designed nozzles that control the flow and pattern of the DI water spray. The nozzles can often be adjusted to produce different spray patterns (e.g. mist, fan, or jet).
Trigger Mechanisms On DI Water Spray Guns
When you squeeze the trigger on a DI water spray gun, you open the valve, which allows the DI water to flow through the nozzle and out of the gun.
Flow Control On DI Water Spray Guns
Some DI water spray guns have flow controls that allow you to adjust the flow rate, which gives you even more control over the volume of water you’re using. This can be particularly helpful when dealing with delicate surfaces and components.
Cleaning Process With DI Water Spray Guns
When you spray DI water onto a surface, it rinses away contaminants (such as dust and particles), without leaving any conductive residues behind. After spraying, the DI water typically evaporates without leaving any mineral deposits or streaks.
Maintenance Of DI Water Spray Guns
To ensure optimal performance, DI water spray guns require regular maintenance. This includes cleaning the nozzle to prevent clogging, checking seals and connections for leaks, and replacing worn parts as needed.
